33-year-old guitarist, tired of noodling away in my bedroom alone, looking to put together a band with the aim of collaborating in the writing process to create some kick-ass tunes and maybe taking them out on the stage once in a while.
I'm specifically looking to form a melodic doom/death metal band - you'll be able to check out the influences below.
I'm realistic about my expectations for any project formed out of this - we're probably not going to become internationally-renowned rock-stars touring the globe on the back of our slow, sad and heavy jams. We're most likely gonna have to stick to our day jobs and play live on the weekends. As a result, I'm looking to form a band of people in it for the same reasons - because our day jobs suck, and we need a release, and that release might as well be gathering in a room with like-minded folks for a few hours a week to escape from it all by having some beers and kicking out the jams.
That said, should we come up with good sh*t - I'm fairly handy with a DAW, and could conceivably put together some decent-sounding recordings.
