Singer songwriter – I must have played over 2,000 gigs. Now moved to Frinton-on-sea and seeking to join or start a small acoustic electric band near here (but not with full drums ... nothing too heavy) to play originals and maybe covers. Maybe towards Bluegrass/Americana, but with emphasis on harmony vocals. Seeking keys, bass or guitarist who also sings harmony. I have a good stage presence. Tenor lead vocals and harmony backup are my bag, with a two and one third octave range – I play rhythm acoustic 1969 Epiphone Texan or 00-15M Martin, and stand-up lead and harmony vocals. Just retired, so loads of time to pursue music. Recently the resident muso at the "Stand & Deliver!" Acoustic Club in Loughton, Essex. Own transport, own songs & own hair.
CV: Started out solo with an acoustic guitar and vocals, I write my own stuff. Joe Brown covered one of my songs (back in the day). Joined harmony duos, twenty years pro and semi-pro in Loughton duo Rockinghorse playing pubs and clubs in Essex and London; rhythm guitar and vocals in various bands, including the twelve-piece soul outfit The Indies, playing the film festival corporate entertainment circuit – played The House of Blues in LA; Margaritaville, New Orleans and four of the Cannes Film Festivals in the 90’s. Showcased at the Acoustic Club, Bishops Stortford. In September 2006 I joined the blues outfit Out-of-the-Blue as stand-up lead singer for 4 years. Showcased at The Bull, Colchester recently.
