I play bass mainly, guitar quite often, other instruments occasionally. I'm looking for people locally who just fancy a jam or maybe to work on some musical ideas just for the fun of it. Ideally close enough so I don't have to drive and can have a beer at the same time, but if you sound like my musical soul mate I'll make the effort and drive for around half an hour or so.
Ability, style and age are not really important. I'm pretty laid back and am happy to go with whatever people are into, although I have my ideas too. I most enjoy playing with harmonies and interesting rythms, with a willingness to experiment. I know my way round a PC and various recording/sound generation programmes too. Covers that try to sound like the originals don't really do it for me.
Like I say, I'm keen to meet anyone who wants to meet up - so this part is less relavent, but this is me: M, 30, know a bit of music theory but mostly self taught, been in a good few bands but never really gigged, got plently of equipment, don't want to commit to a full band - never been that big on playing the same thing over and over, got a family so have limited free time, am reliable and won't cancel at short notice (there's always exceptions, but would appreciate the same from anyone who wants to meet).
