ABOUT

I'm a 23 year old vocalist in South East London. I can play a little piano and can play enough guitar to write songs, which is my main thing really. My voice is female alto, lower than the average female vocalist and while I can go higher when singing loud, I prefer the lower tone. contact me on my music insta (no material on there right now but its good for contact) @noyoume_music .

I have played quite a few gigs but haven't in a few years, school and then personal issues got in the way. I'm in one of those ruts where I'm stuck trying to do everything myself musically, bored of my own stuff in a way, so I'd like to get outside my own work and join an existing band who needs a vocalist or just do some vocals for a band who needs it on a temporary basis. Ideally I'm looking for a mixed gender band around my age, lgbtq+ friendly as well. Happy to join an all-female band too, would prefer not to join an all-male band. I'm job-seeking right now so available for practises and for making recordings, however due to covid I would prefer to do as much as possible virtually/remotely.

Influences

Vocally: Gerard Way, Brian Molko, Brendan Maclean, but mostly my vocals are just a mish-mash of what I hear and what I've developed myself over the years. Musically I have a lot of both pop and rock influences. Over the years I took inspiration from My Chemical Romance, Placebo, Keane, Paramore, coldplay, radiohead, arctic monkeys, Daughter, foo fighters, the killers, blur, Mogwai and more. I have recently been getting interested in Jeff Buckley, Sonic Youth, Joy Division, The Cure, The Smiths, and more modern pop music like The Japanese House, Marika Hackman, Nadine Shah, Sunflower Bean, and some miscellaneous ambient music.
