I taught myself the basics of the guitar in my mid teens, played in a couple of short lived bands when I was a student but for the last few years I have been writing and recording my own material. Having written enough songs to fill the best part of three albums I feel I have gone as far as I can solo and am now looking to either form or join a band. Preferably I want to form my own band having being inspired by William Douglas’ set at The Wicker Man Festival which consisted of the basic acoustic guitar, bass and drums yet had all the manic energy of early Pixies material. Alternatively I’d also like to join a band as a rhythm guitarist as I know a fair few full and power chords but am not so good at solos following Johnny Ramones advice to boycott them. I’d definitely consider playing in any band that was in the same vein as the acts listed in my influences. So if you’re remotely interested in putting the Holden Caulfield back in indie music, be sure to drop me a line and say hello.
