I've been playing the drums since I was 12, learning my chops in a marching band. I have played in many different bands covering in many different genres over the years. Right now I’m playing in an originals heavy rock band, a funk and soul covers band, a “cockney knees up” band, and a blues cover band. I also dep for various bands and musicians for gigs and festivals.

I firmly believe that the drummer's role is to support and 'punctuate' the other instruments and voices, not to take over or be the star of the show.

I'm a team player, committed and I know what hard work means. Also, unusually for a drummer, I am very well educated (I have a PhD), so have no problem helping out with any administrative duties etc.

I have good quality acoustic kit and I am also ok with electronics and triggers to build in hybrid elements.

Happy to play most genres, including indie, blues, dance, reggae, ska, latin, rock, jazz, or pop, but have always been a fan of something a bit more funky.

Too many. Everything from psychedelic rock, jazz, soul, funk, house and even drum and bass (well, I am a drummer). If I had to pick a favourite, it would be anything funky.
