23 year old guitarist looking to join or form a band of dedicated musicians, playing something on the heavier side. I have a wide range of influences including Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash, Alice Cooper, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Slash, Mastodon, Avenged Sevenfold, Pantera, Slipknot, Stone Sour, Rob Zombie, Opeth, Machine Head, SOAD, some BMTH (mostly just Sempiternal)... so I'm pretty flexible when it comes to style.
I've been playing for just over ten years and like playing a bit of lead, bit of rhythm so I'd ideally be looking for a band with another guitarist who's comfortable doing the same. In my last band I played most of Glasgow's notable smaller venues and some other cities as well as getting a spot as Thursday night entertainment at Download Festival and having just moved to St Andrews I'm taking this as an opportunity to get involved in something fresh.
I've got experience of setting up my own promotions business so there would be no shortage of gigs and bands we could play with from all over the country. There's also a chance we could make money at it rather than ticket money going straight into the promoter's pocket. Because of this I've also got all my own gear - full PA system, guitars, basses, a half stack, drumkit, lights & controllers - so there's no limit on venues we could play. In promoting gigs I've also saw what works and how some really good bands don't do enough for themselves so never really build upon their audience, so I'd really be looking to commit a lot of time to it getting really tight as a band and constantly working on the promotions aspect of it.
