ABOUT

My background is the classic "frustrated guitarist turned bassist" story! I still play and record guitar, but switched to playing bass live a few years ago and never looked back. Can't beat standing in front of a TC Electronic stack and feeling the bass slam you in the back :)

My main focus is really playing in covers bands, but I have also dabbled in writing original material and it would be nice to be able to bounce a few ideas off someone. Maybe knock my ideas into some sort of coherent songs!

Influences

You hum it, I'll play it! I love all kinds of music, from classic rock (Stones, Floyd, Led Zep, etc.), modern rock and 90's alternative, all the way through to death metal and industrial and out on the other side to trance and electronic music.

Although I have written and recorded my own trance & metal-based music, I'm mainly into playing classic rock/metal and modern "alternative" stuff.

The bands I've been in have played the usual covers stuff - from slightly "heavier" things to 90's alternative, 60s and 70s classics and so on. I would love to meet up with other musicians to chat, talk shop (especially sound engineering, rackmount toys and that sort of stuff) and maybe have a jam or gig with.
