Here's a cool opportunity if this is your thing:
I'm a Bristol, UK based rapper performing my new album material with a high energy hip hop band. Slick riffs, stomping beats and a big-assed sound.
I'm looking for guitar, bass and synth/trigger pad artists. Committed musicians only.
I work with producers for my recorded releases, then bring these recordings to my band and we work on them for the live show.
The songs often get adapted for the live show, so it will need some creative input.
We'd also all write the instrumental sections between songs and intro builds to the next song etc, to glue the set together more.
Put simply, you'd be a permanent session musician but with some extra creative perks.
Auditions will be held at Pirate Studios in Bristol.
Listen to the Madcap - Addicted track to get an idea of the kind of sound I have, although there are more mellow synth-based tracks and lo-fi hip hop tracks too.
I'm also be taking future releases in a different sonic direction. Style versatility and understanding of effects settings etc will be important for this.
You'll need all your own equipment.
I'm currently being asked to perform by some venue bookers and am turning them down. So, we'd be gigging very soon after the set is ready.
