The keyboard player for Lonely Trees has departed, and we would like to find another fourth member.
We formed in March and comprise bass, drums/vox, guitar/vox and (missing) keys. We write, record and gig our original music. We’ve all done the covers thing and prefer to do this now. Aged 60-65, we’re based in Christchurch/Southbourne.
We’d like another keyboard player. If you sing, even better. But anyone who plays both guitar and keyboards might also fit in. As might a textural guitarist who doesn’t fall into rhythm or lead categories. There are opportunities and possibilities.

Influences
I try to be blind to genres, but if pushed, my own stuff is influenced by snappy, melodic guitar pop/rock groups (Big Star, MC5, Jam), early '70s progressive music (Yes, Genesis, VDGG), Can/Neu type stuff and anything else that moves me. Also partial to Richard Thompson, David Sylvian, PJ Harvey, Warpaint, Joni Mitchell and Laura Marling. Most of what I've written doesn't sound like any of them, though - but that's who helped shape me. What about you?
