Im a swedish guitarist who's looking for committed musicians to form a Latin/Blues/jazz fusion band.
I've been playing the guitar for more then 15 years and played in various blues and coverbands, Latin/salsa bands samba reggae and rock bands. For the moment im studying at the ICMP musicschool in Bronsbury, London
My idea is to form a band with the roots in the Latin music but spice it up with different styles and genres.
Think:
Sergent Garcia, Santana , Manu chao. So its gonna be a kind of ethnic worldmusic salsa/blues/jazzband. With a little bit of Rmb in it ...Right :-)
The emphasis is gonna be on massive groove and good musiciansship and to make great music and have a lots of fun.
The goal is obviously to go on tour and play at venues and to get payed for our efforts.
Im searching for
1 bas player who is familiar with different genres such as salsa , blues/Jazz and reggae.
1 pianoplayer who knows salsa and jazz as well as rock and blues
1 Timbalero who plays good and vibrant Timbales
1 Drummer who has no problem with switching between the styles and genres. Good soloist .
1 Male singer who is versatile and has a knowledge of Spanish and English
( Portugese is a plus).
