I'm a Experienced rock n roll bass player in my mid 20's, based in The Midlands, looking for like minded, committed musicians for a new band project or to join a band.
After having experienced playing on stage with Black Label Society at one of Americas biggest festivals, and playing on the same bill as Motley Crüe, Poison and Whitesnake, I've had a taste of what a band with all members sharing the same views, tastes and passions are truly capable of. A lot of bands fail because of lack of chemistry and the fire that burns in your stomach from doing what you love and really pushing it to go places, and that's what I really want, a band where we can bounce ideas off of each other as band 'mates', not just a group of guys who aren't really interested but just want the title of being in a band. Friends and musicians that have chemistry both on stage and off stage, all sharing the same core belief that what we are doing is new, fresh and exciting. You put your all in and you get all back.
Sharing the same musical taste is a huge part of it, as obviously finding common ground is needed when writing, I don't want to be a carbon copy of a band that's already been there and done it, but some of my influences include Buckcherry, The Dogs D'amour and New York Dolls. I'm also inspired by Drum & Bass and Plan B.
No gimmicks, just great music that will have even the unlikeliest of person tapping their feet and nodding their head. That gritty, dirty rock and roll that you feel in your stomach with every solo, chorus or deep bass line. The catchy hooks, and songs that will stick in people's heads with smart lyrics that touch a nerve with people in one way or another.
The right mixture of personalities, tastes and influences, all sharing the same vision is the first step towards creating 'that' band, add to that, dedication, perseverance and musicianship and there's only really one way things can go.
