I am looking for either a guitarist or pianist to do some acoustic gigs in Leeds.
I am 38 and although I look/dress younger (I think), I would probably ideally be looking for someone 28 plus so it doesn't look too ridiculous.
I am looking for someone who is into current chart stuff. Pop, R&B, Hip Hop and House including some older tunes of same genres. Artists like Drake, Post Malone, David Guetta, Sia, Kygo just a real mix. Can be some Indie stuff too and old skool house. Looking to create some cool acoustic versions of songs. Probably slow the tempo down a fair bit so it's quite chilled versions of the songs. Good musicianship and able to switch things up.
Want to create a set for some of the fancier places in Leeds - pitching to play at bottomless brunches and early doors before DJ's set in. Angelicas, Issho, East 59, Neighbourhood, Greek Street etc. Want it to be a cool set almost like what a DJ would do early doors but just us acoustic.
A bit on me. I trained in Musical Theatre from a very young age. Lived in London and did Theatre then got a little record deal with an indie label. Nothing really emerged after quite a few years. I went out to LA back to music school in my mid/late 20s and stayed out there nearly 2 years. Doing bits with various musicans etc
I then came back to Leeds after becoming a single Mum 5 years ago and haven't sung for several years properly. I sang at a friends weddng in France a year ago and it has sort of made me realise I should be doing it again.
