Influences
Everything I hear!
Generally, alt-rock and experimental stuff. Shellac, Mogwai, O'Brother, Sonic Youth, Reuben, Dick Dale, Red Fang, 60's Garage Rock, Fugazi, Slint. I listen to a lot of EVERYTHING though, from Canadian Polish folk to drone, opera to noise.
EQUIPMENT
For bass I use either an Orange OR120 or Peavey Deuce head (both mid '70s), an old-arse Ampeg 8x10, an Aria Mosrite-copy Bass slung low and sometimes a couple of pedals.
I have a grindy old-school bass sound.
