ABOUT

I am a singer/songwriter with four decades worth of experience in production and performing live. My speciality is guitar, either acoustic or electric, rhythm or lead, and vocals, all of which are to a high standard. I also play the keyboards, as well as Mandolin and similar instruments. I have formed or played in numerous bands over the years, producing and releasing three albums in mainly the rock, or folk rock genre. Having a wide taste in music is reflected in my playing and composing, and I can improvise really well to most styles.
For many years, I've just performed solo and acoustically, but would be interested in making music and collaborating with others again, either for fun, or to see what happens and where it could lead. I can and have performed in Welsh too, and have written a lot of original material in both Welsh and English.

Influences

The first music to have an impact on me was rock'n'roll and this led to an early obsession with The Beatles. It was The Beatles that led me to want to play and write my own music and led me to discover other music from the '60s onwards. I love psychedelic music, from Pink Floyd and Gong to some 70s space rock and I got into new wave and alternative music in the 80s and beyond.
I also got into folk and acoustic music, but I listen to all sorts and can appreciate something from most genres.
