Hey guys! My name is Francisco, I am 21 yr old Portuguese Piano and Bass player!
So, to give you an insight into my experience, I have been playing BASS for 2 years. I am not the best in terms of technique or skill, but if you tell me what I need to play, I will play it.
I also have the additional keyboard skills because I am a John Paul Jones fan boy and everyone knows a good bassist also plays the piano ahah. So I am more than able to help out with some keys.
In terms of academic experience, I have studied classical piano for 8 years along with music theory, choir, harmony, etc. So yes, I can do 7 against 11 polyrythim.
For me, the genre of music I am doing is not really important. I play music for the connections you make and the fun you have. It is a unique feeling. So, no matter the project you have there, even if it is Irish Progressive Bossa Nova, let me know. The more unique the better :)
I would say I am determined and chill guy. Every opinion is valid for me, and every idea is worth trying. I mean, music is all about that!
As I said, I might not be the most skilled, but I am invested, and I absolutely love a challenge, so I will put in the hours and the work to play whatever is necessary to be played.
I also always prioritise the group. Individuality is for solo careers. I dont mind playing some cheeky, beautiful, probably-no-one-going-to-listen-to bass solos, but I wont be pleading for it, if the song does not ask for it.
In terms of artists I like at the moment, we got Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Doce, Eagles, Vasco Rossi, Jacob Collier and TOOL.
