Originally studied music at Napier University way back in 2008 with Bass as my main instrument, I moved here from Edinburgh last year. I've played in a few bands over the years at weddings and pub gigs and have played the Edinburgh Festival a few times as part of a blues quartet.
I can comfortably cover most styles on bass from jazz through funk, all the way up to metal.
I have also played lead guitar as part of a cover band, mostly playing classic and prog rock, Hendrix, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd etc.
Can play a bit of classical nylon string as well.
Currently teaching myself mandolin and banjo thanks to lockdown boredom.
I'm very open to different genres and always looking to learn new styles, just as happy to play blues as I am to play metal or even trad stuff. Personally I prefer writing originals and just jamming and having a laugh with other musicians, I take music seriously but I'm not a serious person. It would be cool to maybe put a band together for gigs with a blend of covers and original stuff. I can happily commit a couple of hours each week to practice, and can potentially provide a practice room.
