Started playing guitar at the age of 8, studying under classical guitarist
Neil Smith - a fantastic guitarist and teacher who was lumbered with me wanting to play guitar, but NOT classical! Started to really play when I finally got an
electric guitar and a teacher who believed students would progress further
playing music that meant something to them.

Played live for the first time at 16, playing covers of Shadows songs and my own arrangement of Mark Knorfler's "Going Home".

Whilst at university in Birmingham, met the guys who would eventually form "Cousin It" - a hard rock covers band playing songs by Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Little Angels, Tesla, Black Crowes, Faith No More, Thunder and others. From their first slightly nervous, bottom of the bill spot Cousin It were promptly boosted to top of the bill at a number of events including the Aston May Ball 1991 (top of the student band bill).

After a 14 year break from performing live, played two nights in 2005
covering T-Rex (bringing 70's Glam Rock to a whole new generation!!)

and as for the future.........
