Downdog are an alternative/hard rock outfit from Rossendale, Todmorden and Manchester. We're currently looking for a lead guitarist that can bring something special to the existing line up. Priorities are good melodies, groove and a bit of showmanship. Shredding is not a necessity, despite what you may hear. Sometimes less is more - we are all primarily focused on making the highest quality music. We have our own broadcast quality recording facilities, and a debut album available for download from iTunes and 7digital. Plus we have a licensing contract on the table at present. We have also secured "Alibi" and "Shapes That You Don't See" as two of the tracks to be featured on the forthcoming PC Windows game, "MOTORM4X", which is an off road driving game that has been developed by The Easy Company based in Prague.

Our current guitarist has left due to an extreme personal situation and is now unable to commit to the path that the rest of us want to travel. We are still all friends and we miss him very much, but life, as they say, goes on.
