A friendly, highly competent bass enthusiast with years of live and studio experience across a huge range of genres. A very quick learner, stong improviser and soloist and comfortable with written music though not quite a great sight reader yet (currently studying!). Recent experience includes funk, soul, contemporary acoustic ballads, folk, jazz, R&B, interesting rock music from the '70s onwards, supporting some very well known people, function bands, stand ins, providing backing to singer / songwriters, playing in everything from small pubs to large venues. I have swing, and a definite style, I love all things bass, and my playing is tasteful, melodic, always 'in the pocket' and really lifts the music in whatever situation I'm playing in.
