ABOUT
Very hardworking country band based in the Woking area seeks an experienced, dependable bass player with a pro attitude, a sense of humour, good gear, and own transport. A good ‘feel’ for the genre is much more important than technical ability.
Gigs vary from pubs to CMCs to major country music festivals, and the set list encompasses a wide range of styles from traditional country to modern country rock.
Playing anywhere from Devon to Lancashire, there’s a fair amount of travel involved, although we have a band bus, so personal travel expense isn’t high. There will be the occasional late night though.
We’ll have played over 80 gigs by the end of 2013, and already have around 40 in the diary for next year. Ideally we’re looking for a bassist who can commit to all the gigs, to avoid resorting to deps. A ‘job share’ approach with our current bassist may be possible, however.
