In late 2023, a group of experienced musicians decided to get together to play the sort of music they really loved. Many of them had played together recently in bands such as The Liz Owen Band, Undiminished, Soulfunks and Clarence King and the Regents, and had frequently performed at the Half Moon in Putney, the Bull’s Head in Barnes and the George lV in Chiswick. Influences range from Nat Adderley and Kenny Burrell to Herbie Hancock and Larry Carlton but always with a groove.
