Ok bear with me here -
I am by my own admission a pretty average rhythm guitarist who can keep time and bash out the chords, prefer not to sing but ok with backing vox and also like to mess around on occasions with some spacey synth loops.
Ideally be looking to form a 4 or 5 piece covers band that does things a little differently, ie chooses songs that might not be on everyone's radar but are still good tunes.
I'm first and foremost an old school rocker (mid 50's btw) whose biggest influences are Hawkwind (far and away the biggest) followed by Motorhead, The Cult, The Almighty, Quo etc etc, if it's British and it rocks, chances are i like it!
looking for likeminded individuals who are in this primarily for the fun and enjoyment and who would be looking to improve their skills along the way, so a keenness and positive attitude more important than outright talent.
My plan would be to meet people, hopefully settle on a line up that has the attributes listed, rehearsals to get a set into shape and then look towards gigging, ideally faily local to start with and a couple of times a month!
