ABOUT

I've been playing music semi-professionally since the age of 8 and for a time was a full time professional. I trained in classical trombone, but dropped it at 18. Since I was a teenager I've played fretted stringed instruments. I play all the mandolin family, all the guitar family, all the banjo family, dobro, lap steel, balalaika, bouzouki, all the ukulele family, double bass, autoharp, pedal steel and a host of other stringed instruments. I'm at home with bluegrass, newgrass and new acoustic, folk, swing, classical mandolin and many other styles.
