A keen musician of 15 years, with my musical heritage lying within classical piano, and classical guitar, with other skills in bass guitar, the mandolin, and saxophone. I now perform experimental electronic music and unconventional electronic instruments, which i build myself.
I have been trained to use specialist equipment used in both production and performance of music and the arts. These range from microphones, synthesizers, production software (Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Reason, Ableton, Soundforge, and many others), mixing desks, rack systems, equalizers, compressors, gates and effects modules. I have also gained experience of working in studio environments, performing full band mastered recordings, and session recordings, including all microphone and sound booth set-up. I have also had experience preparing and performing within live acts and shows. This experience has prepared me to organise events, organise production teams, prepare rigging and audio/visual equipment to very high standards and produce high quality results for a public audience.
As a musician, I have also performed live under many different roles, ranging from performances with full bands, performing as a solo artist, performing using unconventional instruments and experimental performance methods. I have also written, built and performed a number of Audio and audio-visual installations that have been viewed and experienced by a public audience.
I have also gained experience and skills of the visual arts. These have been gained from modules within my education at university, and through my employment. This includes graphic design, stage and live set design, lighting and sonic design and planning.
