Citizen Sane seeks Bass Player to complete full line-up
Hi, we are Citizen Sane, an alternative rock band that have just finished our first EP which is now up on Spotify, iTunes, Deezer and others. Just search Citizen Sane and find 'A Manifesto EP' on any of these services or on Bandcamp if you'd like to download the mp3's. We also have a few tracks up on SoundCloud as well.
Comprised of Francesco on guitars, Paul on vocals / piano and Dave on drums, we are missing only a single musician to complete our lineup - a bass player... If the base-lines of Peter Hook, Andy Rourke, Mike Mills, Carlos D, Colin Greenwood, Krist Novoselic, Kim Deal or Flea's more melodic stuff floats your boat, then please read on!
With a shed-load of songs both finished and in the works we're looking to build a traditional 4-piece rock setup, but also hope to remain flexible in the way we perform. We'd like to be able to add guest musicians - perhaps violin, cello or anything to expand our sound when the opportunity arises or be able to play unplugged if the situation calls for it.
We are currently rehearsing in rooms in Balham, South West London, but are looking to create our own practice space, probably in the Clapham Zone 2 area this year.
Ideally we'd like someone able to contribute creatively to the songs with some gigging experience and any backing vocals skills would also be a plus! Preferably aged between 25 and 35 as to fit in with the current lineup, but age is just a number after all, so please get in touch if you think you're the right fit anyway with a bit about yourself and musical interests. We will plan a casual meet up pint or coffee!
