My name is Ian and I'm a 31 year old guitarist who studied at ICMP and BIMM, situated in Herne Bay, who wants to start a prog band. I play an 8 string fanned fret Ibanez, Mesa Boogie amps with all the little pedals that go along with it.
I've worked teaching music privately for 13 years, Secondary school for 4 years and done everything from pit orchestras for musicals through to gigging in rock and functions bands.
I want people to collaborate with for composing and writing with the end goal of obviously gigging.
Currently working on a car but really want to be creative again. Everything from jamming out riffs and ideas to full blown song writing is desired. Like all things it's about working with the right people.

The kind of music I would draw on for writing would include artists like (in no particular order) Haken, Tool, Headspace, Opeth, Alice in Chains, Audioslave, Ritchie Blackmore, Mr Bungle, King Crimson, Jason Becker, Megadeth, Plini, Silverchair, Symphony X etc. (pretty eclectic?)
