Brighton deep and heavy funk band Ed Meme & The Forms are seeking a new drummer to join the project.

Ideally we need someone of a fairly high standard who can dedicate time to the band for lots of gigs (weekends only), rehearsals and songwriting sessions. Therefore session musicians with numerous existing commitments just won’t work. Own transport is preferable.

Music is heavy, dirty funk. Mostly original material. Influences include James Brown, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Sly & The Family Stone, Stevie Wonder, Parliament and Eddie Bo.

We need a drummer with a simple, driving funk style. No fancy fills, no rock and no jazz. Just lay down the break for us to play over the top of.

In return you will be a member of a signed band with plenty of interest and radio play, and have a blast. Top funk venues & festivals already booked into 2009, locally and across the UK & Europe .
