Band to Join.

I have mainly played in cover bands although I have spent a couple of years in what was essentially an originals band and towards the end of my time with them we only had one cover in our set and even that was a mash-up with an original song.

After a relatively short spell with another local covers band I am now available to meet up with other musicians and hopefully form/join a band.

When I lived in London I did start up a “rehearsal” band for people who had not necessarily played in a band before or even with other musicians. The intention was to give people the experience and fun of making music with others without any other pressures such as gearing up to play a performance. So, if anyone fancies dipping a toe in the water for the first time I would be happy to hear from you.

Influences

My roots seem to be in the rock bands of the late sixties early seventies era and early influences were Hendrix, Clapton, Frampton, Beck, Page, Trower, May.

I have not remained stuck in the classic rock/blues genre - I really enjoy Jason Isbell and the 400 unit, Lucinda Williams (she has a great backing band in a addition to being a great singer/songwriter herself), John Hiatt, Los Lobos, Hiromi Uehara (if ever someone was born to be a musician she is definitely one such person, her connection with music seems so strong).
