I'm looking for a backing vocalist for a band performing mainly Aretha Franklin back catalogue. Obviously, you must be able to sing harmonies with one or two other backing singers. Have a listen to "Satisfaction" (Aretha live in Paris)"House that Jack Built", "Chain of Fools" for example.
Singers will be chosen at a friendly try out session with the other backing vocalist. Whether you would sing high or low will need to be discussed.
I can only pay for gigs but not for rehearsals at this stage and gig fees will vary.
You would be expected to attend evening rehearsals and gigs including sound checks.
Backing singing is an important skill in itself which I respect. It's important that you do too and would enjoy it.
