I'm influenced by an eclectic collection of musical styles including: indie, metal/funk, progressive, acid jazz, acoustic, classical, folk and electronic music.
Initially the bassist for a rock and then funk/metal groups, I started playing electric guitar in my late teens. In my 20s I concentrated on learning solo acoustic and classical guitar pieces and in my 30s, I returned to funk/rock, jamming on drums with friends in an informal way. I later became interested in folk and classical music, learning traditional Irish/Scottish fiddle tunes and playing violin in several local orchestras.
I love synth soundscapes and music that is emotive and powerful. I'm seeking to either form or join a folk band, playing the traditional folk music of our Isles (ie Irish, Scottish, Welsh, or English).
