ABOUT

Currently studying at Trinity College of Music in Greenwich, I play both double and electric bass in a wide variety of styles. I specialise in improvised music such as jazz, folk, funk and even hip-hop, but have been involved in several different styles of music ranging from pop and rock to electronic music.

My jazz bass influences include Ron Carter, Paul Chambers, Christian McBride, Ray Brown, Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, Jaco Pastorius, Dave Holland, Marcus Miller, Milt Hinton and Slam Stewart.

Other influences, not limited to bassists, on my playing include Derrick Hodge, Avishai Cohen, Victor Wooten, J Dilla, Four Tet, Burial, Bonobo, Flying Lotus, Little Dragon, The Old Dance School, Uiscedwr and the Urban Folk Quartet.
