Okay so I've just moved to the Devon area from Birmingham. I'm a songwriter before anything but I've writ an albums worth of stuff consisting of percussive style acoustic stuff with rapping/singing. Might sound odd at first, but you have to hear it to get it, ha!
Apart from the obvious vocalist, electric guitarist and possibly a drummer and bass player, I don't quite know what I'm looking for as it's a unique style of music but I'm open to ideas and suggestions.
I was in quite a successful up and coming band a year or so ago in Brum, we gigged O2, HMV, The Drum and various minor festivals but unfortunately disbanded through one reason or another. Anyway the band was named after me 'Ben Haycock Band' as I was the songwriter and rapper, also doing acoustic guitar work and backing vocals. We played all sorts of stuff including Rock, Jazz, Blues and alternative pop (making sh*t pop songs less sh*tty).
Since then I haven't done much in terms of gigging, but have writ an albums worth of tracks. But really need a band to bring it to life and write some new stuff with fresh ideas.
