I am looking for musicians local to High Wycombe who would be prepared to play one sunday morning each month for the "Sunday Assembly" non religious meetings plus 2 reheasals each month. Most of the music will be pop songs of an uplifting nature that the meeting can sing along to. ( no hymns of any kind) No pay I'm afraid, and you don't need to be atheist as long as you are tolerant of us non god botherers and willing to have a good time :~)
PERSONAL PROFILE ..Chris is a mature Female bass player always on the look out for professional engagements on Jazz, Blues, Big Band, Pop/Rock, Barn Dance/country & Western gigs , session or pit work, with individuals, bands or studios. Chris is used to playing venues around the country, and working with professionals such as Karen Sharp and the late Sir John Dankworth. She has transport and is willing to travel with expenses, is self employed and so is available to rehearse or gig any time of the day or night.
She can read and has a good ear, has recording experience, both live and studio, plus touring and theatre experience and is also available to teach bass guitar skills
Chris likes to play covers/standards but also likes to help collaborate in creating original works as well and enjoys working with other musicians to produce a professional performance that is fun and that will entertain the audience.
She is available to work as bass technician for jazz workshops and courses and Dep bass for Barn dance, jazz, country & Western , Folk, Big Band jazz and rock n roll bands.
