Ayatana are a three piece band from Manchester playing blusey hard rock with groove. The band was formed by Mike Brotherton and Matt Fitzpatrick late in 2006. Dan Leigh completed the line up at the beginning ‘07 but has left recently. A quick four track demo was recorded last May which led to a string of successful gigs at venues such as Dry Bar, Night & Day, The Ruby Lounge, as well as a live appearance on the Artradio project at The Cornerhouse and some other local radio airplay. Ayatana’s live performances in particular have been well received; this is documented in a review from Guest List Music of the band at ‘In the City’, October 20th ‘07 at the Ruby Lounge.
