We are a Liverpool based band, all of age 20. The band formed four years ago. We are a four piece consisting of one guitar, bass, vocals and drums. We are all currently studying music at a high level and have a good knowledge of music production and engineering. Our drummer has recently left due to artistic differences and we are searching hard to find a new drummer to replace him. Our music is original and quite unique. As musicians we are versatile in the sense that we play in so many different styles. We tend to write hard-hitting songs that can be very progressive,ambient and dynamic. We are very particular about the sound we create; our music can be described as being heavy, but only in formula. So we're not noisy but more so hard and loud and it's certainly not metal. The general line up is basic, guitar, bass, drums and vocals but we use keyboard/synths and acoustic cello also. We have recently just started to use a theremin which is a very unique sounding instrument. We tend to use a lot of effects as well for guitars and synth. Our influences are varied but we sound like a mixture of: A perfect Circle/Tool, Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, Mars Volta, Oceansize, Radiohead, Biffy Clyro, Portishead and Incubus. They are just a few examples of bands that we like to draw influence from, there are more. We have a good following here in Liverpool and are known throughout the local venues, so getting gigs is no problem. The venues we play most are in the city center, we play the Cavern, the Zanzibar, the Barfly, the Picket and we have played the Carling academy main stage, which was great. We do play various cover songs for gigs. Usually we'd play one or two in the set, just to get the crowd going. Some of the bands we cover are Chili Peppers, Tool, The Smiths, Placebo, The Clash, Cameo, Rage Against The Machine and various others. We've had radio plays in the past and was granted a website deal last year which was unfortunately shut down only recently. Once we have found our new drummer we plan to start writing new material and get gigging fast. We have decided to change the band name as well, but are undecided on the matter at this point in time. We are looking for a drummer who is versatile in his/her playing, they need to be of a good technical standard and have a good knowledge of time signatures, rhythm's, musicality and being creative. Also it would be great to find someone who has experience in percussion as well as the kit, but thats just a bonus. Above all, we need somebody who will be open minded to what we do, easy to relate to and work with and is generally friendly and outgoing.
