Playing bass in amateur cover bands since I was at school, now in my early fifties with several hundred gigs under my belt. Playing for fun is my priority but would love to play quite regularly in a good function/tribute band. I have a full time job so I'm not looking to gig for money but if it's going to be frequent then it's got to be worth a few quid. Ideal gig rate is 1 to 2 gigs a month but could go more if worth it. I drive a people carrier so have good transport capability.

Influences
Wide ranging. I love playing any song that gets the right reaction from the audience. I reckon I'm able to play pretty much any rock, pop & funky chart hit but I'm not big on slap (fortunately that's never been a stopper). I'm good with unusual timings too (I listen to Prog Rock). I was a drummer too so my influences range wildly. Genesis, Floyd, Steven Wilson, Jamiroquai, Toyah, Police, Chic, Roxy Music, Yes. But I've performed virtually none of these artists songs live - doesn't worry me!
