I am a Birmingham based guitarist and songwriter looking to find a female vocalist with a great voice to perform original songs and a few covers in acoustic venues, folk clubs and festivals. I have been away from performing music live for a while and I am keen to get out there playing again. I hope to find a vocalist with the ability to range from a strong and powerful delivery of some songs to a delicate performance of others. I have always written my songs with a female vocalist in mind and I have quite decent gear including guitars, mics, acoustic amps etc. I write in the vein of folk-rock, contemporary acoustic and folky ballads. I am looking for the right kind of voice that can dig in for a gutsy bluesy tone then move on to whispering sweetness. Think along the lines of Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow and any good British female folk singers.
I am hoping to find a person ready to put some time into it rather than viewing this as a hobby.
