Spirited and infectious, Acorn Roots combine the simple rhythmic beats of the cajon, entwined with the walking bass lines; the natural and rhythmic tones of the acoustic guitar and mandolin are layered and interlaced with the soaring melodies provided by the whistle and fiddle, topped off with the strong lead vocals.

This formula has helped this Derbyshire 7 piece forge an incredible reputation on the live circuit; not only as an act to be reckoned with but as an act that exudes a sunny side up attitude that will entertain anyone within earshot. Good times are guaranteed.

Since forming in 2011 Acorn Roots has gone from strength to strength. Their collective influence encapsulates music ranging from traditional folk, pop, Celtic, punk and ska. Their set list is a heady blend of time honoured classics with a few hidden gems.

We are currently looking for a lead singer as our current singer is moving away in August.
